Samsung Unveils UFS 5.0 Storage for Next-Gen On-Device AI

Samsung has unveiled UFS 5.0, its next-generation mobile storage standard, designed to handle the heavier read/write demands of on-device AI processing in upcoming smartphones and wearables. The faster storage tier is aimed squarely at flagship devices leaning more on local AI inference rather than round-tripping to the cloud.
